Sam Pat Crawford is a multidisciplinary artist & architectural designer from Los Angeles. He went to Savannah College of Art & Design where he studied both art & architecture, graduating with a BFA in Architecture. He went on to get his M. Arch from UCLA while making art, photography and creating music on the side. He currently works as an architectural designer and creates abstract paintings and other artwork.

His 2022 - ongoing series ‘Sentient Forms’ is a work of abstract paintings inspired by the tension of positive and negative space, transparencies and emotional representation through shapes. He explores the human tendency to attribute emotion and personality to inanimate shapes through paintings of organic forms. The forms appear to interact and have conversations with one another. However, the viewer's interpretations of the interactions  may be more of an inward reflection of the viewer and how they see the relationships around themselves.
